Ebay item 12/15/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-1984-XJ12-4dr-Canadian-VERY-Rare-USA-/17057973351 ...

Sellers description:
This is a very rare car to be seen in the USA. This car was originally sold in Canada and was legally imported into the US. In 1984, Jaguar made a total of 204 XJ12's for Canada.

I have had this car for over 10 years and do regret selling it now. Unfortunatly I have far to many cars to keep in storage.

This car was my daily driver from 2000-2001. In 2001 I disassembled the car for a full restoration. The mileage is correct. Car comes with a LEGAL clear US title.

The car always passed emissions when I had it in Ohio.

The car was never driven in the winter and has had inside storage for the last 10 years. The following is a list of the things that were done to the car.

BODY
Stripped to bare metal- repainted in base coat/clear coat version of the original color of metallic grey. (currently has a couple fo small chips around gas caps)

The outer rocker panels were replaced with NOS Jaguar parts due minor rust though.

Driver's side floor board was replaced with reproduction panel from Paul's Jaguar. (All panel replacement was professionally completed)

Right fender was replaced due to small rust spot. (Replaced with perfect Rust free used part)

Left Front door replaced due to small rust spot. (Repalced with perfect Rust Free Used part)

Front valance replaced with NOS Jaguar part (old one was dented)

Both Under tank panels (repalced with perfect used)

Bumpers replaced with perfect used parts as the originals had scuffs. Perfect black pads (front and back)

Perfect Lower front grille

NOS 7" Headlamp Kit from Pauls Jaguar.

NOS Rubber Exterior Rubber kit from Pauls Jaguar (included all rubber seals that are under lights and trim)

NOS Jaguar door seals (all 4 doors)

NOS Jaguar sun roof seal

MECHANICALS
Engine ran GREAT. 24mph on highway

Front suspension was rebuilt (NOS ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings )

NOS Jaguar Euro Spec XJ12 Front springs (special part number for 12 cyl cars with A/C)

NOS Front subframe mounts

NOS motor mounts

Urathane Steering Rack Bushings

Rebuilt Front Brake Calipers

Brembo rotors

Repacked front wheel bearings

NOS Rear Subframe Mounts

Brembo Rear Rotors

Autozone Lifetime Rear Calipers and pads

Resealed rear Axle (2.88 Posi)

Resealed Transmission (hydramatic Turbo 400 GM- Performance shift kit installed)

NOS Jaguar Stainless Steel Exhaust Tips

Perfect Used set of Kent Alloy Rims (rear tires were NEW, Front tires match)

NOS Radus Arm Bushes

NOS Rear Suspension Bushings

NOS Parking Brake cables

NOS Parking Brake pads

Gas Tanks Resealed by GAS TANK RENU

New gas tank senders

INTERIOR
Excellent condition Carpet cleaned and replaced with NOS material

Seats Redyed with Leatherique Dye (looks perfect)

Center console & Rear Headrests recovered with NOS Connolly Leather (Redone by Pauls Jaguar)

DAIMLER CONVERSION- Euro Only

I purchased and installed Daimer Trim on this car. The pieces were collected from England and Austrialia. This includes the following.

Front Grille (with Daimler emblem)

Daimler hood chrome

Rear Trunk Plinth (Daimler only-trunk handle)

Exterior "Daimler" emblems- Front Fenders, trunk badge "Daimler" & "Double Six"

Daimler Wheel emblems with NOS Jaguar Center Caps

Daimler Horn pad

Daimler Script Emblem on center console

What is left to do?
Add fuel and check fuel delivery after sitting for 3 years (This was when the gas tanks werew done).

New battery

Adjust parking brakes and rear caliphers

Install drivers door panel.

I have over $18K in this car and reluctanly am selling.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
