Sellers description:
This 1978 Jaguar XJ-6 L (with extended legroom) has been in storage since June of 2008.

It starts and shifts but has an occassional engine miss possibly from inactivity.

The tires were replaced sometime in 2008 and are not showing signs of dry rot.

The exterior paint has faded spots on the trunk, roof and hood. The chrome looks good for it's age. There is rust (and patching) on the underside of the car as seen in the photos.

The car has a cloth interior which looks like it was redone in the past. The carpets are okay as well. The wood throughout the interior has raised grain. There is a crack on the dashpad on the passenger side. The instruments, guages and switches all function including the radio.

The air conditioning isn't cooling but the compressor turns freely.

It would not take much to make this car a daily driver (change the fluids, check the brakes and tune it, leaving the cosmetics as is) or at this price it can be used for parts. Your choice.

The car starts and has been driven on our property. We have no history on the car and cannot offer an opinion on its mechanical condition beyond "it runs".

Beautiful 1978 Jaguar. I have owned the vehicle for about 8 months now and literally spent that whole time getting her in the shape she is in now. I had the interior completed except for the dash and dash board. I have had the engine completely worked over, rebuilt radiator installed and whatever else was necessary to fix any preexisting conditions. I also had the entire car repainted. The original color was a very dark brown. The color now is a representation of the jaguar emblem on the steering wheel. The original radio has been replaced and four new speakers added. It is a bluetooth/CD. I kept the original 8 track which will go with the car. It has the original rims and all original owners manuals. She is a beautiful car restored to the best of my ability.
