Ebay item 6/26/13 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/73-1973-JAGUAR-XJ6-SERIES-I-/261235833338
Current bid $1,226 reserve not met, 5 bids 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Original 1973 Jaguar Series I XJ6. The Series I XJ6 is considered as one of Jaguar's most beautiful designs and was very much ahead of its time when originally introduced in 1968. This XJ6 has been in my personal collection of Jaguars for some time and only now have I decided to reduce the number of cars I have. The most significant aspect of this Jaguar is that it is rust free and still has its original paint for the most part. The only paint work that I could detect is some spot work at the leading edge of both front fenders. There is no filler anywhere on this Jaguar. Being the original paint there is obvious rub thru areas but it is remarkable how nice it still is. By the way this Turquoise color is very rare. Inside is all original and still in amazing condition. The headliner is beautiful and the original carpets are superb. For some reason it is missing the drivers front bottom mat but I do have a set of floor mats as seen in the truck that would conceal this fact. I replaced the dash wood and it is breath taking. I have the original wood if one wants it. Please pay particular attention to the chrome. It is really breathtaking considering it is all original. Mechanically there are no issues. It starts with ease, runs smoothly and is safe to drive although it has not been operated in several years. The tires are deep in tread. Please remember English cars leak and this Jaguar is no exception. I have entered many pictures to show how true to form this XJ is. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me via phone or email. I have put a drop dead low reserve on this car but please remember this is an exceptional car for its originality and is more than a trailer queen as it can be driven. Thanks for looking.

Car returns to ebay 7/13/14 www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XJ6-Fully-Optioned-1973-Jaguar-XJ6-All-Original-Includin ...
Current bid $3,050 reserve not met 4 bids 4 days left in auction buy it now price $13,500. Car now said to be in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 67k miles.
Sellers description:
This particular XJ6 Jaguar came from Atlanta Georgia. Prior to the current ownership this has always been a Southern car. The previous owner owned the car from 4/6/1977 all the way until just a few years ago. That owner put new tires on the car prior to selling it, and when the current owner purchased the car he had the carburetors and spark plugs cleaned. So the car starts, drives and idles beautifully.
The finish on this car is fascinating. This is a rare Turquoise example that is still wearing original paint. You can see a few areas on the car where the deep red primer now peaks through the original turquoise paint. Nature has a way of making things beautiful and putting colors together that blend wonderfully. The setting sun comes to mind as nature combines light blue with bright pink. This paint job has allowed the slow influence of nature to brush its beauty all over the surface of this car. The door jams are spectacular and clean. The thin spots on the single stage paint allow the primer to show through with similar beauty. This thin viel is akin to a photo of Marilyn Monroe wearing a sheer scarf that allows parts of her outfit and skin to peak through. There is no substituting the brush stroke of nature. The patina on this car is priceless.
