Ebay item 5/30/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BEAUTIFUL-BLACK-GREAT-CONDITION-LOW-MILEAGE-ALWAYS-GARAG ...
Current bid $2,272 reserve not met 5 bids 3 days left in auction. Buy it now price $5,950. 79k miles.

Sellers description:
I am the third owner of this real nice 28 year old XJ6. Sold new here in Houston and kept here all it's life, painted just 7 years ago, always garaged, the paint looks awesome. Original biscuit leather seats have no tares or stains, just some thread loosening in the rear. The front seats are perfect, as is the console and door panels. The headliner has some small peeling just over the driver area in the sun roof panel only, nowhere else. Carpet is typical for the mileage. Driver's seat has electric tilt feature, and works fine. The stereo/CD player is a Pioneer unit with tilting removable face plate.

All instruments, lights, controls, fuel tank selectors, electric door locks (from inside and outside), window controls, sun roof actuator and cigarette lighter work properly. It's worth noting this car has never been smoked in, ash trays and lighter coils are like new. Wood vanier dash is in good condition with some cracking as it is original. Dash cover and trim are great. Door opening felt has normal wear. Seat belts and buckles are all perfect.

In the trunk, all the carpet is great, the tool bag holds the jack and wrench, uner the cover the spare tire is new and the wheel is new, never used original. Even the trunk light works.

Up front is the original 4.2 litre, dual overhead cam, in-line six cylinder engine, one of the most celebrated engines in automobile history. This one has only a little over 79,000 miles. With a recent tune-up of distributor cap, rotor, plug wires and plugs, fuel pressure regulator and electric fuel pump, she starts and runs just like she should. I recently replaced the A/C compressor and reciever drier, converting the system to the readily available R134 freon, and it cools just fine here in Houston, Texas. I also, being an AMSOIL Synthetic Oil dealer, keep 100% full synthetic oil in the engine, using higher viscosity oil as reccomended by Jaguar. The battery is about a year old.

The disc brake pads were replaced recently by the previous owner and are just fine. I have replaced all four rear shock absorbers and the transmission rear mount. All four tires are less than 6 months old and have about 5000 miles on them. They have full mileage and road hazard warrenty.

I would not hesitate to drive this Jaguar anywhere. It loves the open road and is a joy to drive, getting lots of attention everywhere it goes.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
