This 1984 Jaguar XJ6 was reportedly purchased new by the current owner in Monterey, California and now shows just under 82k miles. The car is finished in black over a Biscuit leather interior and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include chrome wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, an electric sunroof, walnut interior trim, power-adjustable front seats, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. A July 2018 service included an oil change, coolant flush, and brake adjustment. This XJ6 is now offered on dealer consignment with service records, a window sticker, the removed factory wheels, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the owner’s name.
The body is finished in black and features gold pinstriping, chrome trim, and a Jaguar “leaper” hood ornament. A service notation indicates that the power antenna unit is in need of replacement. Aftermarket 15″ bolt-on wire wheels feature faux knock-off center caps and wear Pirelli P4000 Super Touring tires. The brakes were adjusted in July 2018.
The interior is upholstered in Biscuit leather and features an electric sunroof, walnut trim, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. Instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, and gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 82k miles.
The 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six features Lucas-Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. A July 2018 service included an oil change and a coolant flush.
The original window sticker shows initial delivery to Falvey Motors of Troy, Michigan as well as the factory equipment and a total new price of $31,450.
The May 2020 Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and displays registration history in California from its first entry in October 1992 through its most recent update in December 2018.
