One of only 6,505 4.2-litre Coupés built, this automatic-transmission example comes with its original release note from Henlys to R A Creamer & Son Ltd of Kensington, who used it as a demonstrator. The car was supplied finished in black with matching non-standard interior trim, air conditioning and chromed steel wheels for a price of £7,287 (purchase bill of sale on file). Sold to a Mr Rowland Gee of Hagee (London)) Ltd, Shaftesbury Avenue, the Jaguar returned to Creamer in 1982, remaining in storage with them for many years before being purchased by the current vendor in 2008.
