This 1987 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas was acquired by the current owner in 2006, and it now shows 40k miles. Finished in Alpine Green over Magnolia leather, the car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ Kent vented alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a sunroof, a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel, automatic climate control, and a cassette stereo. This Series III Vanden Plas is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with the owner’s manual, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a Wyoming title.

The Pininfarina-styled bodywork is finished in Alpine Green (HES) and features a Leaper hood ornament, a power sunroof, a power antenna, power-adjustable side mirrors, and Vanden Plas pinstriping.

The 15″ Kent vented alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin Energy Max 4 tires, and braking is handled by ventilated front and solid inboard rear discs. Rack-and-pinion power steering as well as independent rear suspension with twin-coilover damping were equipped from the factory. The front shocks and sway bar links and bushings were replaced in August 2023.

The cabin is trimmed in Magnolia leather along with burl wood accents. Interior equipment includes a cassette stereo, a trip computer, and automatic climate control.

The wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 40k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. The Carfax report notes odometer readings of 58k miles in two 2009 entries.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory rated at 205 horsepower and 231 lb-ft of torque. The fuel tanks selector switch, sending units, and gauge units were replaced in August 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner three-speed automatic transmission.
