Sellers description:
I am looking to find a new home for my beautiful XJ6. The car is located in Fruitvale, Texas - 60 miles East of Dallas. This body style is considered to be one of the most desirable and elegant Jaguars. Listed below is a detailed description:
The car runs and drives very well. The engine is strong and smooth. The transmission shifts correctly. The car is a pleasure to drive, especially at highway speeds.
The A/C and heater work well. No overheating issues even in Texas heat.
The interior is in very good condition. There is a repair to the driver seat (please see in the photo). The door panels, headliner, dash pad and console are all in good condition. The carpeting is new. The gauges all work correctly.
The moon roof works well.
The wire wheels are in excellent condition with new Falken 65R16-H tires.
All mechanical issues have been addressed. The steering rack has been replaced, transmission serviced, cooling system flushed and new hoses installed. New U-joints and brakes on the rear axles. The Stromberg carburetors have been rebuilt.
The paint has a nice gloss and is very presentable. There are the normal chips in a few places and evidence of road rash on the front. There is a ding on the top of the right front fender (photo) and some minor rust bubbles on the right pillar post. Overall, the car looks great and I receive a lot of positive comments.
This is a Southern car, so no body rot or rusty floors.
The chrome trim and chrome bumpers are good to excellent.
I cannot verify or confirm the actual mileage. I had to relist because the title search showed that the car was rebuilt in 1996. I bought this car 5 years ago and my Texas title is clear.
The radio is not working consistantly. Probably needs to be replaced. The cruise control is not functioning.
