Per Jaguar Driver magazine, April 1986, page 43, article by A.R. Percival, Havant, Hants based on information provided by Ian Luckett of Jaguar on earliest XJ6 cars:
Chassis P 1G1001DN 2.8 litre, (Daimler) Silver-Grey / black Ambla. Experimental - June 1968. Originally had a V8 engine. Unregistered.
(Note: no record of whether the car survived).
