Sellers description:
My Story: I bought this vehicle last summer in non running condition after the previous owner had it in dry storage for 5 years. I have over $10,000 in receipts since them, mostly mechanical, to get this beautiful car into daily driving condition. I took the side badges off of the car in preparation for a new paint job, but have not had the chance to take the car in to get that done. I am selling the car because I would like to move on to my next project. The following is a list of recent repairs:
- New shocks (6)
- Front end suspension completely rebuilt, including all new bushings, linkages, ball joints, etc
- New top fuel line hose
- New rear brakes
- New oil pan gasket: this was a big job and required removal of front cross member, done while rebuilding the front end
- New high and low pressure power steering hoses
- New power steering rack seal kit
- New valve cover gaskets
- New water pump
- New radiator hoses and cap
- New thermostat and gasket
- New brake master cylinder
- A/C belt
- New A/C compressor, expansion value, and dryer/receiver are not installed but INCLUDED in sale of vehicle
- New external fuel pump with switch-over valve has replaced the old immersed fuel pumps, new gas tanks from SIII XJ6 were used
- New wheel bearings
- New battery
- New interior including headliner and floors and floor mats. Although done in vinyl, it is a great job and door panels are carbon copies of the originals
- New window rubber molding trim
- Vinyl top is in great shape and rust is absolutely minimal, none is the usual problem areas
- Nardi steering wheel and shift knob
- After market radio and rear speakers
- Wood dash and dash cap in excellent condition
- Power windows all operate from every switch position with ease.
- Matching spare tire
- Original tool kit
- Manual antenna slides up and down smoothly
- CUSTOM car cover included
The (not-so) bad:
- Small dent on front left quarter panel from a dear, the signal lens was replaced and operated without flaw
- Windshield washer fluid does not work, may be a faulty pump
- Front right quarter looks to have been repainted at some point because I can see some clear coat differences
- The original paint is weak but still very presentable
My car is quite nice and I've put much money and effort into making it purr down the highway. This is a good example of a rare car, and I would love to see it go to a good home.
