Lot #118342
This 1976 Jaguar XJ6C is finished in white with a black vinyl roof over blue leather upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with 15″ steel wheels, dual Stromberg carburetors, power windows, and an AM/FM radio. The car is said to have spent time in Oregon and Washington before the seller’s acquisition in 1984, and the carburetor bowl is noted to have been repaired in 2022. This XJ6C is now offered with an owner’s manual, service records, and a Washington State title in the name of the seller and their spouse.
The car is finished in white with a black vinyl roof, and exterior details include chrome bumpers, quad headlights, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller reports the left fender was repaired and repainted in 1990 following a collision. Flaws in the paintwork such as cracks, corroded chips, and touch-up can be seen.
The 15″ steel wheels wear chrome covers and are wrapped in 215/70 Michelin Energy MXV4 tires showing pre-2000 date codes. The car features power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in blue leather along with a color-coordinated center console, carpets, and door panels. Amenities include a clock, an AM/FM radio, Jaguar-branded floor mats, and power windows. The seller states the headliner was reupholstered in 2004. Wear is visible on the seats, and the air conditioning system is inoperative.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles, approximately 16k of which have been added under current ownership. The odometer is believed to have rolled over, and true mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features dual Stromberg carburetors, and the carburetor bowl was reportedly repaired in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Corrosion is visible on underside components.
An owner’s manual and service records are included in the sale.
The chassis number “UG2J52156BW” matches the VIN listed on the Washington State title, while the windshield and door jamb VIN tags omit the suffix “BW.”
