Ebay item 9/27/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1976-jaguar-xj12c-California-Coupe-350v8-335hp-auto-/200 ...
Opening bid $1,976 reserve not met no bids, 6 days left in auction. 74k miles.

Sellers description:
1976 Jaguar xj12c converted to 350 Chevrolet v8 with 335 horsepower @5200/700R4 automatic. runs cool and not an overwhelmingly loud exhaust note. new brake booster, master cylinder, no caliper hangups. 16" BBS wheels. p215/60/16v Dunlops 7/8 32 tread life remains. new front shocks. tight steering rack. handles very well.
Engine built by Gale Banks Engineering of Azusa,Ca. Block casting#14010207. Freshly tuned, new ac spark plugs, cap, rotor and carb adjustment. idles smooth with great pick up and easy starting.

Dark saxony green with leather Recaro leather seats. perfect dash cover and dash wood.headliner perfect. door panels, carpet and console all very nice. Easy opening and closing doors. power antenna works well. Trunk is streamlined with series 3 (later model) tail lights. Trunk well area is solid, floors are good. suspension mounts solid at all critical areas such as rear passenger floor.

This is a straight, nicely preserved California coupe. Paint still presents well with some imperfections on trunk lid (scratches) and passenger door(slight dent crease). does not show up on photos due to dark color. plenty of power. Electrics all perform very well. rear windows are stationary. no charging issues or bugs. Starts and runs reliably. AC just needs a charge but all components are working. Massachusetts state inspection in July. Has all necessary west coast emissions, original closed air cleaner comes with euro spec bumpers. rear bumper has some flex distortion. custom dark chrome plating. euro headlights(larger diameter).
*I have headlight trim and front grille in original bright chrome as well if preferred.

Features a sleek sporty look with strong stance. Overall a solid conversion, still very serviceable as a cruise night classic or fun driver.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
