Ebay item 8/20/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VINTAGE-1975-JAGUAR-XJ6-L-ELEGANT-CLASSIC-RESTORATION-PR ...
Opening bid $1,995, no reserve, no bids 6 days left in auction. 100k miles.

Sellers description:
1975 Jaguar XJ6 L, in non-running, restorable condition. This vehicle was purchased by its present owner in 1997, with the intention to restore the car to its original condition. It was driven regularly, then placed in a dry storage hangar, and has remained undisturbed in that location, since that time. This vehicle is in very fine condition overall, and just needs some coordinated TLC to return it to its former elegance. The body itself is straight, and has sustained no damage, with all trim and chrome in good shape, but the paint is failing in certain small areas, and could do with a recoating. A new transmission has been installed in the vehicle, prior to its storage, and is documented by paperwork. The motor compartment demonstrates little wear and tear, but the engine has not been turned over during the entire storage period.. There is oil on the ground under the motor, which indicates some leakage. The interior as well is fairly solid, but has some areas of wear and material failure on the seats, and so will need repair. This vehicle would make for an outstanding restoration project car, since its inherent value as a classic will never diminish. Title is clear, and registration has been kept current.

Local pickup is available- vehicle is centrally located in Murrieta, CA

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
