This 1975 Jaguar XJ6C coupe is a non-running project that is finished in white over black leather and powered by a numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a black vinyl roof, air conditioning, aftermarket carburetors, power windows and locks, and an AM/FM radio. The car has reportedly been stored since 2007 and was acquired by the selling dealer from the estate of its previous long-term owner. This XJ6C coupe is offered with spare parts, manufacturer’s literature, a service handbook, an appraisal report, and a clean California title.
Finished from factory in English White, the body is believed to have been repainted in the current shade of white during previous ownership. Exterior features include a black vinyl roof, quad headlights, and side and window trim finished in chrome. Replacement trim components are included in the sale and can be viewed in the gallery below. Corrosion is visible on the base of the leaping Jaguar hood ornament and on the underside of the front bumper.
Factory 15″ steel wheels feature polished Growler covers and wear 215/70 white striped Dunlop Elite Radial tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. A replacement pair of rotors and springs are included in the sale.
The cabin features seating for four trimmed in black leather with color-matching door panels and carpets. Amenities include a wood dash panel, aluminum trim, a rear cabin air vent, air conditioning, Jaguar-branded floor mats, power windows and locks, and an AM/FM radio. A Jaguar Dolby AM/FM/cassette stereo is included in the sale. Damage can be seen underneath the dashboard.
A two-spoke steering wheel with an aftermarket lace-up cover frames a 5,500-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 30k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was rated at 176 horsepower and 219 lb-ft of torque when new. An aftermarket intake manifold and pair of carburetors have been fitted, and the replaced units are included in the sale. The battery has been removed, and the car has reportedly not been started or driven for the last 15 years. Corrosion can be seen on the battery tray as well as the underside of the hood.
Engine block stamping 8L21126-L matches the number shown on the data plate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission.
