Sellers description:
1975 Jaguar XJ12C V12 5.3 Silver with Black Leather, 66,000 Miles
Over the years we have dealt with and restored many classic Jaguars including XJS's & XJ's and E-type's. We rarely find such well preserved original early version of this iconic Jaguar.
Bodywork
The car appears to by structurally very good and rust free and still appears to be in its original paint. It does however have some visual rust bubbles in some isolated areas, please see pictures of all effected areas. The lacquer on the paintwork is flacking off in most areas and therefore will require a repaint.
Interior
The interior on this car is in very good order and appears to have been re-upholstered at some point. The head lining is hanging down as usual and will require redoing.
Mechanical
The car will require a mechanical restoration. The cam shafts, cam carriers and Fuel injection system is missing. We would simply replace the engine complete with EFI from a a later XJS. We have carried out many re commissions on the wonderful rare cars and such presents no problem for us to carry out such work. Please enquire for further information.
History
The car is believed was one registered owner up to November 2017. The car was bought new in Ventura California in 1975, when the original owner passed away the son kept the car until last November. At some point the 1st owner started to carry out a light mechanical refresh which is where the parts went missing. The car and has well documented history including the original owner's manual and service book.
