Ebay item 4/23/22www.ebay.com/itm/144518390347
Car has a buy it now price of $13,950 for 29 days, seller city-kat, 74k miles.
Seller's description:
Project and Labor of Love over 90% Complete. Truly fabulous 1974 Jaguar Series II XJ6L with a 350 Chevy driveline. This original, rust-free California car spent 14 years in dry storage before I acquired it from previous father/son owners. Features a new and very high standards custom 2 stage paint job, laser straight panels, window tint, excellent chrome and bright work, very nice glass and windshield, new white wall tires, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, power windows, locks, cruise control, original working clock, beautiful vinyl interior, headliner, excellent dash top, nice original wood dash, new sound system, heated rear window, daytime running lights, original spare, tools, and recent mechanical work described below. The odometer reads under 74,500 verified original miles, and the engine swap was professionally and correctly done about 40,000 miles ago. The engine is tight with no oil consumption, and the 350 transmission shifts are solid and smooth with the proper differential ratio. Steering is tight and true with no wander, and shocks are firm. It drives rattle free. There have been mild and tasteful custom modifications to the body including pull-out door handles, with trunk lid, taillights and license panel believed from a later model series III car, and addition of a leaper on the hood. New windshield wiper arms and blades and new front bumper pads have also been installed. Current clean CA title and registration, I also have registration history going back to 1993. What has been done (with either OEM or premium quality parts): Premium 2 stage paint, new brake servo, master cylinder, rear brake calipers and pads, rotors, parking brake calipers and pads, parking brake cable, front calipers and pads, lower ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, alignment, rear differential gaskets and seals, pinion seal, flywheel, rebuilt starter, valve cover gaskets, remanufactured Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, new Hankook tires, new battery, new exhaust pipes and mufflers, oil pressure sender, thermostat, all fluids renewed. All work done by professional repair shops in Santa Barbara. One fuel tank has pin holes, but I have 2 new Moss Motors fuel tanks and premium senders that are currently being installed. What needs to be completed: The heavy lifting is done. To finish the refurbishment the engine smog equipment can be deleted for better mileage, and the carburetor tuned, speedometer cable lubed, replace a zerk fitting on the rear suspension, replace a section of piping on the driver’s seat back, 2 cracked plastic under dash vent covers, install a trunk lock latch plate, replace the resonators (in the future) and convert and test the a/c system to r134a. That’s the good and the bad. There is no ugly with this car.
