Sellers description:
1973 Jaguar XJ12L sedan sold new in March 1976 by British Motor Car Distributors of San Francisco it was traded and resold in 1977 to a gentleman in Palo Alto from whom we aqquired it.

Since new the car has only covered 39,000 miles the interior is absoluteley original the Moss Green leather is original but still beautiful and the wood is excellent. Under the hood the car is all original this car has carburettors and is the same engine as a V12 E type. The car drives superbly it has recently been driven from San Francisco to Los Angeles and from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara without a hitch, normally one would have misgivings about driving any old car so far let alone a 12 cylinder Jaguar but this car truly inspires confidence the more you put your foot in to it the more it enjoys it. The car runs cool even with the AC blowing and the oil pressure is very strong even at idle. This car really drives superbly every thing works as it should including both gas tanks.

It goes without saying this car is and has always been 100% rust free and has never been in any accidents the superb original front licence plate is testament to no front end damage and the bumpers are both original and superb. Due to poor clearcoat, terminal fade and the application and removal of ugly side mouldings the was no choice but to repaint her so we bit the bullet, removed the windshields and repainted her in the original British Racing Green she looks stunning. This is a practical and superb classic
