Ebay item 2/20/11 cgi.ebay.ca/Jaguar-XJ6-/300528371826 Current bid US $8,000 reserve not met, 3 bids 5 days left in auction. Sellers description: 1976 Jaguar XJ12C finished in Silver with Blue leather with 40 k original miles. The 1976 Vanden Plas is the next to the last year the XJ12c was produced for the U.S and this car is a fine example that has not been molested or restored. The car is all original and and has always been garage kept so the original paint is nice but does with only minor door dings and scratches. Also being the original paint it can either be touched up or buffed but stills shows very well. There is also NO rust anywhere on the car and that includes the floors around the windows doglegs, doors or wheel wells, front or rear valance or trunk or underneath the car. The car is Rust free period. The original interior has a great aroma of leather and is in a Dark Blue and it is near perfect with the only light wear is on the drivers seat bolster that can easily be oiled /conditioned but it is not that noticeable and the rest of the seats are near perfect and still very supple and look like they have never been sat in. The wood grain has very few minor hairline cracks and of course the original headliner has just began to come down over the rear seats only, but it does not obstruct your rear view. The trunk is spotless and still has the original and tools and spare. Mechanically the car runs and drives great Everything works with the exception of the a/c because I just don't use it, but it does have hot heat and the gauges, windows, and door locks all work as they shuld. Although the car is 35 years old now it is in amazing condition for its age and is a great weekend driver and not too far from a show car. It gets thumbs up and stares where ever you take because it still looks great. The pictures speak for themselves, but it is even more beautiful in person. My garage space is limited so a couple cars must go. I am the only the 2nd owner of the car purchased directly from the 1st owners and the car spent its entire life in a heated garage in Washington State, thats why the plate is still on the front and is still garaged, never spending a night outside. it will also come with the original keys, many original records as well.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
