Seller's description:

Stock #: 18011
VIN #: UD1P50515
Mileage: 95,390
Seller’s Description: This 1973 Jaguar XJ12 is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a BorgWarner 3-speed automatic transmission and was first sold by Weber & Cooper in Ventura, California on May 30, 1973. It stayed with the original owners until the co-owner of Jaguar of Hollywood purchased it in April 1994. The vehicle remained in his possession until the seller purchased it from him out of Palm Springs in May 2018. Since the seller's purchase, a series of mechanical and cosmetic services were completed including new engine belts and a water pump, recharging the air conditioning system, refreshing the interior, and more. Maintenance is documented via records back to 1981, and ownership paperwork is said to date back to new. Now showing 95k miles, this Jaguar is offered at no reserve with factory books, supplements, and a clean California title in the seller's name.
Within the past year a new windshield, front/rear windscreen gaskets, rebuilt front brake calipers, and new brake lines have been installed. 15″ steel wheels wear 215/70 Goodyear Assurance tires mounted under previous ownership.
An interior refurbishment performed by the seller included a replacement dashboard, redone headliner, and new vinyl seating upholstery. The original leather headrests and rear center console were refurbished. Additional interior work consisted of recharging the air conditioning system with R12 Freon, rebuilding the heater blower motors, and fitting a factory Bendix British Leyland radio. The original heater switch is bypassed by a remote heater switch in the engine bay next to the brake fluid reservoir. Approximately 1k of the 95k indicated miles were added by the seller.
The 5.3L V12 sends power to the rear wheels through a BorgWarner 3-speed automatic transmission. Under previous ownership the ignition amplifier was relocated to the front of the engine bay and 165°F thermostats were fitted. The carburetors were also rebuilt and tuned and both fuel pumps replaced. Mechanical servicing since April 2018 included an oil change, a rebuild the alternator, and the installation of a new water pump, fuel filter, engine air filters, spark plugs and wires, and engine belts. The seller states that the left fuel sender does not work. Underneath, the seller reports that the motor drips oil and the front subframe V-mounts are cracked and in need of replacing.
