Ebay item 2/19/24
Car has a buy it now price of $10,000 for 6 days, seller zak_at_zombiemotors, 30k miles
Seller's description:
EXTREMELY RARE in this original condition, and well preserved 1973 Series 1 Jaguar here. I just discovered this car out of a 30 + year storage. Parked inside, so no rust at all, perfect floors, sills, trunk, and everything is original and present. Even 8 track player works!
I bought this car a month ago as I am amazed in its solid, original condition. I have rebuilt the carburetors, changed the spark plugs, oil and filters, and ran new fuel lines to the engine, added an electronic ignition distributor, and have it running off of an auxiliary fuel tank in the trunk. No attempt has been made to run off of its original fuel tanks as I am sure they will be dirty.
Car will need fuel tanks flushed and cleaned, new fuel pumps, and new brakes.
Car will start and drive right now, but the only working brake is the parking brake, so I have only 'Yard Driven' this car. Engine sounds great. Transmission shifts fine as far as I can tell. No leaks from engine yet.
Interior is in amazing condition with very nice, soft leather seats with no tears , other than a pulled seam on the back of one of the rear seats wood dash and door trim are all excellent. Lights all work. Horn works, 8 track player works! Comes with 7 period-correct 8 track tapes as well. Carpets are present and a little worn, but look nice. Headliner present and looks nice, with a couple of small bubbles in headliner material.
BODY is amazing, and still in its original color and original paint. A cut and buff would make the car look amazing! I would leave as-is. ZERO RUST ANYWHERE, floors are perfect, sills are perfect, bumpers and all chrome trim , including wheels are present and perfect. This would be an easy restoration, and it is quote rare to find an original , non-modified early Jaguar XJ6 like this one in this sort of condition anymore.
