Here we have a smart Series III Jaguar Sovereign featuring the venerable 4.2-litre straight-six mated to three-speed automatic transmission finished in maroon with cream hide and burr walnut trim - a classic combination.

The spec also includes a trip computer and period radio cassette player, period correct alloy wheels along with retro-fit tow bar should you wish to tow your classic caravan perhaps?

The car has spent a number of years living in Northern Ireland and has a couple of Irish NCT MOTs on file including the current which runs until May 2020. The car presents well and has seen recent work to the fuel injection system prior to its last MOT including a new fuel injection pump along with additional repairs to the ignition system after a period of inactivity. This included a new rotor arm and distributor and flasher unit. At the same time, the car was serviced by Leslie Girvan Restorations of Newry, County Down with a new fuel filter, plugs, antifreeze, automatic transmission fluid and brake pads at a cost of £1,087 with parts from SNG Barret.

The car’s history file also includes the V5C, Irish logbook, handbook and invoices for aforementioned remediation works and couple of NCT test certificates.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
