Ebay item 8/25/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XJ6-Sedan-Jaguar-XJ6-Sedan-Pristine-Condition-1-O ...
Current bid $2,559 reserve not met 8 bids 4 days left in auction. Car has a buy it now price of $4,900.

Sellers description:
I purchased this car from an estate, and have registered it for sale purposes only, as I am not a dealer and by law cannot "flip" the title over to someone else without legally registering it. There was only one prior owner, and the car has verified 39,690 miles. I have a copy of the original title which shows the car was previously owned by the now deceased Edith H. Schaad of South River, New Jersey. I will describe the car 100% honestly as I value my feedback on eBay, as well as it being the right way to do things.

EXTERIOR: Absolutely incredible excellent shiny blue metallic paint. There is no rust, cracking, chipping, checking, loss of clear coat, etc. It shows this car was garaged and babied it's whole life - the body and paint exterior looks like the day it rolled off the assembly line. Chrome and badges are excellent and shiny. Glass is clear and chip & crack free, moldings and rubber are excellent. Dual gasoline tank fillers are excellent and shiny. Underside is clean and extremely very minor surface rust. Exhaust system is a dual one and in excellent condition.

INTERIOR: Leather buttercream interior in excellent condition. The headliner is perfect (a rarity on British cars!). This alone tells me the car was always garaged and not subject to extreme heat, humidity, etc. On the front passenger side there are three small cracks in the leather, they are on the creases and are not rips. The dashboard, steering wheel, console, shifter, door panels, rugs, wood, etc. are excellent. There is no evidence of it ever being smoked in. Trunk is clean and rust free with a fifth matching spare tire. Also includes the rare original tools in the original tool pouch!

ELECTRICAL: All power windows, door locks, headlights, turn signals, rear defroster, brake lights, parking lights, driver's side power seat, windshield wipers, etc. work. The only electrical items that are not functioning are the driver's side power mirror (the passenger side power window works, but they are both in the same housing); the power antenna does not go up or down, and the radio turns on, but does not get any stations as the antennae won't go up. But there is power to the unit. All gauges on the dashboard work. The clock does not work.

MECHANICAL: Transmission shifts smooth, and the engine purrs. It runs strong and powerful. The AC works, but is not 100% cold, so it will need a recharge.

I found paperwork to show that the car has a new fuel filter (Purolater), fuel pump (Bosch) and all new shocks (Bosch). There are six shocks on this car, two in the front and four in the rear. All of this work was done within the last year.

This car is like a step back in time with it's pristine condition and extremely low mileage. It needs to be, like all British born Jaguars, driven on a regular basis and enjoyed.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
