Ebay item 9/20/18 www.ebay.com/itm/1979-Jaguar-XJ6/263939228472
Starting bid: $4,000 no bids 5 days left in auction seller 1dozencandles, 60k miles.
Seller's description:
Starts and runs great. Lots of power, but timing seems to be slightly off and it runs slightly rich. Engine was replaced by the second or third owner. They retrofitted a Chevy 350 in it. I am the 4th owner since Martha bought it new. Only proof I have of her ownership is a copy of her registration card from 2007. I'd be willing to get more proof. Cosmetically in decent condition. Problem areas include light rust, medium-lightly weather cracked window gaskets, some trim unglued, water gets into the gas tank in hard rain (probably just need the seal replaced), drivers side floorboards are rusty, upholstery is all in the same condition (dry, a couple of seams torn, and a couple of cracks), broken rearview mirror. I used the car to cruise around with my family, but we don't do it any enough and I can't garage it. This is an XLJ6, not an XJ6. It was owned by Martha Stewart on Mount Desert Island, Maine.
