This 1986 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas is finished in black over biscuit leather and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission. Features include 15″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, automatic climate control, cruise control, a power-operated sunroof, and a digital trip computer as well as power windows, locks, and exterior mirrors. The car has been registered in Connecticut since 1995 and was acquired by the seller in October 2021. This XJ6 shows 31k miles and is offered at no reserve with a clean Carfax report, factory literature, and Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Black (PDE) with gold pinstriping, and features bright exterior trim, a “leaper” hood ornament, Vanden Plas badging, and polished dual exhaust outlets.

Factory 15″ alloy wheels with black inserts and Jaguar center caps wear 215/70 Pirelli P5 Cinturato radial tires. Braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel discs.

The interior features biscuit leather on the seating surfaces, and high-gloss walnut burl veneers accent the dash, doors, and console. Amenities include automatic climate control, a power sunroof, an adjustable steering column, a digital trip computer, and a factory AM/FM/cassette stereo in the center stack. Cracks are shown in the wood veneer on the center console panel above the radio.

A leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 31k miles, approximately 200 of which have been added by the seller.

The fuel-injected 4.2-liter inline-six was rated at 176 horsepower and 219 lb-ft of torque when new. The catalytic converters were removed and replacement bypass exhaust pipes were installed in November 2021.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Borg-Warner automatic transmission.

Factory literature, two sets of keys plus the valet key, and a Vanden Plas cassette tape are included in the sale.
