Sellers description:
For sale is my 1985 Jaguar XJ6. It spent its first 11 years in Beverly Hills CA. and the next 17 in Coer d'Alene ID. I am the third owner. The car is totally rust free with no visible surface rust or paint bubbles. The chrome is excellent as are the rubber window surrounds. The body shows no dents or visible significant scratches or scrapes. The bumper covers are in great shape with no cracking or hazing. The paint shows the usual checking of the horizontal surfaces characteristic of this model year. I purchased one new in 1985 and had checking due to the acrylic paint within two years. The car starts and runs fine and recent work includes new oil cooler lines last year due to a small amount of leaking. The drivers seat was reupholstered in 1996 with original leather. The passenger seat shows some pulling of the seat bottom seams. The rear seat demonstrates only the expected patina with no tears or cracks. A new headliner was installed in 1996 and remains in great shape. The dash wood is flawless with the exception of a few surface cracks on the glove box door. Electric windows and sun roof function properly. New tires were put on by the previous owner in 2007. Although a new evaporator was installed in 1997, the air conditioner does not blow cold at present. An almost new replacement S steering wheel is included. I was going to upgrade the wheel for a larger more modern look. Recent medical changes makes ingress and egress of such a low sedan difficult, necessitating the sale.
