Car has a buy it now price of $2,800 for 5 days.
Sellers description:
Jaguar XJ6 Sedan that I bought stock a few years back with engine problems. I have an old college buddy who owns a shop east of the Cascades and he let me help him do the conversion to a Chevrolet V8 with a matching Chevrolet overdrive automatic transmission. The conversion is well done and the car runs very well. As you can imagine, it's powerful and sounds like it so I get plenty of second looks as I make my way about town. The Jaguar is a pleasure to drive as are all the Jaguar luxury sedans, and I have the combination of power and smooth road manners.
My friend and I rebuilt the engine that we put in the car. It's a later model engine with the modern roller cam so it runs smoothly and gets pretty good mileage for a full size powerplant. That's probably because of the 700R4 transmission we installed. It's connected to a toggle switch so I can control the lock up feature for the overdrive. Its gets about 20 mpg with the Quadrajet carburetor. This type of carburetor has the smaller primary jets with the larger secondary jets, so if you drive it conservatively it get's pretty good gas mileage. Then, if you need to pass or enter the freeway you step on it and it really takes off!
You'll want to have the leak tended to in the power steering system and the gauges need to be properly wired for full function.
