Ebay item 3/17/18
www.ebay.com/itm/1986-Jaguar-XJ6/222884824516
Current bid Current bid $1,175, no reserve, 4 bids 6 days left in auction, seller pjn4200, 163k miles.

Sellers description:
I have owned this car for 2 years. I am a huge Jaguar fan and have owned many over the years.
This car has been very reliable and I even used it as my daily driver for a couple of months during summer so I know it doesn't overheat. Oil pressure is good and drives very well. Excellent matching Michelin tires. Interior very good. I had the drivers seat base retrimmed in vinyl. Has a few small blemishes and the seat stitching is visible but still very presentable. Headliner is also in good condition.
Bodywork is solid for its age but had a cheap repaint at some point. Some paint is peeling mostly from the hood and edges of the sunroof. It looks very good in pictures but reality is that it needs redoing or just live with it. The hood hinge has rusted and wobbly so clips the fender when it's shut but it opens fine and closes securely. Has a dent on the rear door and a rust patch on the front right fender as shown in the pictures.
Euro 7 inch outer headlight conversion which looks much better and jaguar leaper in the hood. Always a local car so no significant rust unlike northern states. Rockers, floorpans, wheel arches are solid. Front & rear window surrounds look solid with what appears to be very localised and surface rust but certainly better than most which have huge holes.
Most of the electrics work fine. Main exceptions are the heating and A.C. and cruise control which don't work. Windows and sunroof work fine. Central locking works which is good as only key is for the drivers door.
Drives very well and is extremely comfortable. Suspension all seems fine but has a knock from front when on bumpy ground so could be a worn bush somewhere.
I've been resisting selling and had plans to restore this car but have to be realistic so decided to sell. This definitely is not an immaculate showroom car. It is a solid base for a daily driver or a restoration. Please remember it is 32 years old so unable to think of everything that isn't perfect. Way to good to part out. I drove this 1000 miles per month when using it daily with no problems. Bring tags and drive away.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
