Ebay item 11/26/19
www.ebay.com/itm/1987-Jaguar-XJ12/254432394161
Opening bid $2,000 reserve not met 0 bids 6 days left in auction, seller jbjag, 88k miles.

Seller's description:
This car started out as a very clean 87 XJ6 which I converted to Jaguar V12 power. The engine, efi computer, and engine management are originally from a low mileage 88 XJ-S. The transmission is a GM 700R4 automatic overdrive installed with a John’s Cars Quarterbreed kit. It’s got a Euro spec stainless exhaust system with no catalytic converters. The ignition system and fuel system are restored with new distributor and a new engine wiring harness. It has a gear reduction starter. It starts and runs perfectly and is a very reliable car that is extremely fun to drive.

In addition to the engine and transmission upgrade, there was an extensive restoration to the rest of the car including new interior trim and new walnut instrument panel. Bumpers were modified to fit closer to the bodywork and Euro spec 7” outer headlights are fitted.

It’s rust free and repainted in Jaguar Meteorite Mica (code MDX).

The restoration is a few years old and isn’t perfect but I don’t drive it much and it’s kept in a climate controlled shop.

I built it as a fun project and I still love the car but I’ve had my fun with it and feel
It’s time to move it on and work on something else.

Lot #66756

This 1987 Jaguar XJ6 was fitted with a 5.3-liter V12 and a four-speed automatic transmission during previous ownership in 2012 and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2021. Finished in silver over black leather upholstery, the car is equipped with slimmer European-style bumpers, a power-operated sunroof, 15″ Kent wheels, automatic climate control, a cassette stereo, and an onboard computer. This XJ is now offered in Oklahoma with manufacturer’s literature, an umbrella, a Carfax report, and a Texas title.

Finished from the factory in Nimbus White (NDJ), the car was repainted silver some time ago. Features include a power-operated sunroof, slimmer Euro-style bumpers, European-spec 7″ halogen headlights, dual fuel fillers, a Leaper hood ornament, a power antenna, aftermarket window tint, and V12 badging. The Carfax report lists an accident in July 2006 that involved damage to the front end of the vehicle along with fire damage in September 2011. Areas of rust on the sunroof panel are viewable in the gallery, along with paint cracks and a dent on the front end.

Kent 15″ wheels are wrapped in 215/70 BFGoodrich Advantage T/A tires that show 2011 production codes and were mounted in April 2015.

The seats are upholstered in black leather with burled wood veneer accenting the matching dashboard and door panels. Amenities include automatic climate control, a factory cassette stereo, an onboard computer, power windows, and air conditioning, which has reportedly been converted to use R134a refrigerant. The cruise control is non-functional.

A leather-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer. The six-digit odometer indicates 96k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.

The 5.3-liter V12 was reportedly sourced from a Jaguar XJS and installed in 2012. The spark plugs were replaced in December 2021. The car features a custom dual exhaust system and is not equipped with catalytic converters.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a GM-sourced four-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.
