Most of these cars are old, worn-out, and beyond salvage. The cost to restore them is 10 to 20 times they're given value in the state that they are currently in. Rarely does one surface it is been preserved and is all-original.

A couple of months ago we learned of this very special car and went to inspect it. Although it had been driven rarely in 10 years, we were very impressed with this very low mileage original magnificent condition Series III XJ6. One of the things that made this car special, is it is one of the best documented cars we have ever seen. The original owner of this car saved everything. The second owner, who purchased the car in 2005 only drove the car 1500 miles in 11 years. Although he rarely drove the car, he kept and documented everything on it. We even have the original license plate frames from the selling dealer. Generally we scan all of the documentation of a car into a PDF so it can be emailed. However, on this car there so much documentation, it prohibits us from doing that.

We have the original window sticker, all of the original books, even the original survey form from Jaguar that was sent to the original owner. This highly original car suffered from lack of use. Once we purchased it, we had it shipped to the Jaguar Doctor in Boca Raton, Florida. We told him to spare no expense and make this car turn key so it can be driven and enjoyed. We were elated to hear that this car suffered from no major problems. It just needed all of the typical maintenance items that a car that has been sitting without being run needs. In preparing this car for sale, we had performed:

Four new tires the tires that were on the car were perfect, but dry rotted

Replace both fuel return valve and changeover switches.

Replaced sender floats.

Replace all coolant hoses and flushed the coolant.

Replaced all four belts.

New AC compressor and dryer

Performed a transmission service and replaced the transmission mounts

Replaced ignition coil

Replaced the alternator

Replaced nonworking window switches

Replace wiper blades

Anything that Jaguar Doctor recommended, we did. We have now driven this car over 200 miles since it's service and it is performing absolutely flawlessly. Everything in this car works; every switch, every light, and every operation performs as it should. Even the cruise control works perfectly. Driving this car is a pleasure, it reminds you of what these cars were like when they were new. It is so tight and smooth it feels like a new XJ6.

Inside, this car is an absolute time capsule. The leather is all original and untouched. It shows minimal wear and is in spectacular condition. It is still Just as soft and supple as it was in 1987. The wood is all original and has no cracks or fading. The wood is really spectacular. The interior of this car is as close to perfection as one can ever expect from a 30-year-old automobile. It literally is without flaw and can stand up to the toughest scrutiny.

Outside, this car is just spectacular. This generation of Jaguar has always been regarded as one of the best looking sedans ever produced by any manufacture. That still holds true today. The black paint is stunning. When Jaguar painted these cars originally, cranking developed in the paint when they were just a couple of years old. That has been addressed and the paint on this car is beautiful. It is complemented by a biscuit over Ivory painted pinstripe that highlights the line of the car. All of the chrome and Bright work is close to perfect. There is no pitting, dings, dents or any scarring anywhere.

This really is the most impressive Series III XJ6 anyone can find. We believe it to be the best in the world and we invite any potential buyers to inspect it for themselves.
