Ebay item 6/14/23
www.ebay.com/itm/125975134227
Car has a buy it now price of $17,999 for 29 days, seller pantera_motors, 117k miles.

Seller's description:
Available for sale is a clean title, California Jaguar XJ6 sedan, with no accidents, and full service history since new. For British automobile enthusiasts, no other brand matches the allure of a Jaguar! These elegant automobiles produced out of Coventry, England rival their competitors out of Germany. While Mercedes, BMW, and Audi are mechanically precise and consistent, they lack a certain elegance and grace.
Offered here, is a well cared-for, low-mileage, S3 1987 XJ6 sedan. The condition reflects careful care and love since purchase. The extensive records prove respectful custodianship and no expense spared care from Jaguar specialty shops. a 1" folder with records will accompany the car. A California smog certificate is available on hand.

The exterior Tungsten metallic paint shows high luster overall with minimal signs of wear. Chrome trim surrounding the car is in excellent condition and shines brightly. Classic wire wheels are looking splendid wearing newer tires.
Inside the car, the black leather upholstery, rich burled wood trim, and solid build quality are immediately evident. Doors close with a satisfying quality built "thunk." Beautifully designed door panels are also free of any damage from inconsiderate use. Every interior surface is similarly well maintained, and all original equipment is present and working including all electric functions like sunroof, climate control and windows. Rear seating accommodations provide passengers a limousine-like experience. The rear "boot" shows almost as-new. The car comes with its original manuals, Jaguar parts book, tool kit, leather case, and all maintenance records.

The inline 6-cylinder engine sounds fantastic, the transmission shifts smoothly, and have both been serviced extensively in the past. The car's engine compartment is tidy and clean, as is the undercarriage where there is no evidence of body rust. This beauty drives as good as she looks. Smooth, comfortable and quiet, this Jag floats down the road without any hesitation, has lots of torque, great braking power, and no pulling. Foot on the pedal, it gets to highway speeds with ease, and has no problem keeping up with modern day traffic. Ready for a comfortable long trim home!

This 1987 Jaguar XJ6 spent time in California and now shows 117k miles. It is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Tungsten Metallic over black leather upholstery. The car is equipped with 15″ wire wheels, a sunroof, a Leaper hood ornament, Jag-Aire air conditioning, cruise control, and a cassette stereo. Acquired by the current owner in 2021, this XJ6 is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of the owner with manufacturer’s literature and a clean California title.

The car is finished in Tungsten Metallic and has a Leaper hood ornament, a power-operated sunroof, dual fuel doors, side moldings, and dual exhaust outlets.

The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are wrapped in 215/70 Pirelli P400 Touring tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The seller notes the front suspension components are older.

Black leather lines the front seats, rear bench, and door panels. Equipment includes cruise control, polished sill plates, an onboard trip computer, power windows, and a factory cassette stereo. A Jag-Aire air conditioning system has been installed. The seller states the headliner was replaced in 2023 and the heater is disconnected.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 117k miles, of which approximately 3k were added during current ownership.

The fuel-injected 4.2L inline-six was factory rated at 176 horsepower and 219 lb-ft of torque. The cylinder head was repaired and the head gasket was replaced in 2019. The spark plugs were replaced in June 2022, and oil cooler hoses were replaced in April 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Fluid leaks are noted. The engine and underside photos were taken in June 2023.
