Ebay item 5/15/17

Car has a buy it now price of $9,850 for 9 days, seller imotors, 80k miles.

Sellers description:
imotors is quite pleased to offer possibly the nicest Original XJ6 Series III Available anywhere! I traded it from my 77 year old long time friend John, as he wanted to downsize(Did a 2 for 1). He's owned it since '06, and it has always been garaged and covered since!

Our Gorgeous XJ6 is a totally original example that is appears to have lead a very pampered life. During John's 11 year ownership he had various items serviced and replaced as necessary. In 2010 all of the rear brakes and suspension bushes were replaced to include calipers, pads and rotors, along with all rear sub frame bushes, and Differential seals. This was a major service, and the entire rear suspension had to be removed!!

In 2015 the front pads and shocks were replaced along with new stabilizer links and bushes.

In 2016 the Air Conditiong system was serviced to include a new compressoor, condensor and receiver drier. Also converted to R134A.

The 16" Dayton wire wheels were new right before John's purchase in 2006 (Originals are included if you want). They have traveled a scant 5 thousand miles since, but ARE 11 years old. Also during his years of ownership, John had several oil changes done along with a complete ignition tune up.

As stated above this is a totally original Jaguar that is 32 years old!! It is a totally RUST FREE example. It has 90% original paint(left front fender and left front door have been painted way back)that shines very nicely. The original top surfaces were dull, and slightly lacquer checked. We had them wet sanded and polished to come back alive, and shine very nicely. Upon close inspection, the lacquer crazing/checking is still visible. The trunk lid is the worst. I left it as original as I could...to let the next owner decide whether to paint or not. I wouldn't, as I like original cars!!

As far as I know, the Red leather interior is 100% original and never been dyed! The wood is stunning with VERY minor cracking in the urethane on the glove box door. Hardly noticeable unless you really look!!! The Moto-Lita steering wheel is Beautiful, and was in the car when purchased in 2006. We do not have an original, but I am certain that they are plentiful if needed. Freshly serviced A/C blows Ice cold. All power windows and sunrrof operate. Factory Sound system still in place, and works great!!

Everything works as it should with the exception of the power antenna, and the cruise control. Our Gorgeous 1985 XJ6 Jag runs and drives amazingly well!! It has a clean Pennsylvania title that reads actual miles.

Jaguar lovers everywhere get weak in the knees when one like this becomes available. A senior Collector owned, always garaged XJ6 that was apparently treated like one of the family! Examples like this one are unheard of!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
