Seller's description:
Stunning XJ6 4.2L with climate control and cruise control. Matching numbers engine, color and with a Heritage Certificate. With the complete history and new delivered in Switzerland by Jaguar dealer Hauri on March 1976. The interior looks incredibly beautiful, almost like new! The dashboard is beautiful and Everything works properly: all the gauges, the reading lights, the electric windows, central lock and even the clock is still running. Thanks to the original maintenance booklets and the Swiss “Abgas-Wartungsdokument” the mileage is apparent . On 27 February 2003, the last Swiss inspection was carried out, and after that, the widow of the Swiss owner sold the Jaguar to a Dutch doctor. This Jaguar enthusiast has had the XJ well maintained at a friendly garage and has only driven 5,178 km with it in 17 years. That's why he sold the car to the owner of this garage in 2020. They have carried out an extensive maintenance including all liquids. No expense has been spared to bring everything into top condition. The fuel tank has been replaced along with 2 new fuel pumps, all hoses, new brakes all around, brake hoses, handbrake, clutch cylinders, new ignition including a new battery and so on. Furthermore the SU carbs have been overhauled with new gaskets and the front part of the exhaust has been replaced. The steeringbox has been overhauled and the car is aligned including new tires. For more than € 3,100.- worth of parts. Drives and steers like a smooth luxury car, really a great pleasure to drive. And thanks to the perfectly working climate control and cruise control, the XJ is suitable for long journeys. A remote control has also been added to the central door lock. In the past, the car has once been repainted in its original color Silver Grey and the paintwork still looks beautiful. The chrome is also nice with the normal traces of use. The iconic long stroke 6 in line runs silky smooth and has a high torque of 305 Nm. The oil pressure is excellent and the engine temperature remains perfectly healthy. A wonderfully low revving engine that ensures a relaxed riding style. Truly a rare gem that is hard to be found in this condition, and certainly not with the beloved manual gearbox with overdrive. You are welcome by appointment in Naarden, directly on the Motorway A1, exit 6 on the Gooimeer Zuid business park. We are lenient and flexible, we can also be reached outside normal office hours, for example by Whatsapp. Even on Sunday's.
