Car to be at auction 9/21

www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2021-09-25/cars/ref-111-1975-jaguar-xj6-seri ...

Auction description:

Ascot Racecourse September 25th 2021

1975 Jaguar XJ6 Series II (4.2 Litre)

Lot Number 118

Registration LKR 854P

Chassis Number 2T14485BW

Engine Number 8L24473-S

Odometer reading 25,154 miles

Estimate £10,000 - £14,000

Showing 25,000 miles on the odometer

Original bill of sale

Two family owned from new

Result Sold - £12,452

This super stylish Jaguar, showing a mere 25,000 miles on the odometer, appears to be in good all-round condition showing no real signs of corrosion in all the usual places. The Jaguar is fitted with automatic transmission and the trim is standard and indeed shows very little sign of wear. We are advised by the vendor that this example runs and drives very well and turns heads wherever it goes. The history file includes the original bill of sale, old MoT tests, original manuals, various sundry invoices along with a current MoT test certificate and UK Registration document. This two family owned, low mileage example is an opportunity not to be missed.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
