Austrian first delivery in a wonderful color combination
In September 1968, Jaguar introduced a completely redesigned sedan. A fascinating body shape was combined with high-quality technology. Thanks to its low body, the XJ made a fast impression even when it was stationary and conveyed a high degree of elegance. Technically, it was based on the E-Type, using its engine and rear axle construction. The 4.2 in particular combined the aroused expectations of the body with the nonchalance of power from displacement to create a fast touring sedan. In September 1973, the second series was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt am Main, the most striking feature of which was the redesigned front end, which made it look even sportier.
This Jaguar XJ6 from the 2 series was registered in 1974 to a director in Innsbruck, who owned the vehicle for almost 20 years.
The 2nd owner only registered the Jaguar for a short time. After almost 10 years of service, it found a new home in Vienna. The new owner had the car repainted and occasionally used it for weddings and rides. So he got regular exercise and was otherwise always garaged.
