Chassis number 2J2441BW - first registered on 1 January 1977, this is a 1976 build example of Jaguar XJ Coupé, Series II. The XJ Coupé was announced during 1973 following the launch of the XJ6 saloon five years earlier. However, production didn't start until 1975 and only lasted until late 1977. Although the series II XJ6 had already been launched, the Coupés were built on the short wheelbase XJ6 series I floor plan. They were available with straight six or V12 engines and in Jaguar or Daimler versions. Inside was very similar to the luxury of the standard saloon with minor adjustments to adapt to the Coupé body shell. Presented in Jaguar Green Sand with Tan Leather, and Chrome Wheels as also fitted to later E-types. Offered with a good quantity of previous MOT test certificates dating from the early 1990's which indicate that the mileage may well be correct, along with a selection of invoices which show a programme of care and refurbishment since 2010. These embrace new leather in the front, new headlining, a hide kit (all 2010), a partial repaint (2012) and the fitment of an array of replacement external trim. These include the wheel arch trims (2010). Much of the work has been completed in the local area
