Car to be at auction 9/15
classiccars.brightwells.com/viewdetails.php

Lot number 58
Estimate £8,000 - £10,000
Description Daimler Sovereign XJC 4.2 Coupe
Registration NBH 308P
Year 1976
Colour White
Engine size 4,235 cc
Chassis No. 2H1522BW
Engine No. 8L29441S
Documents V5C; MOT June 2016; letter from owner to warrant mileage

Dating from February 1976, this rare Daimler Coupe has had just two registered owners from new and has reputedly only covered some 37,000 miles in its 39 years to date. The current keeper acquired the car from its first owner way back in 1980. An ex-Jaguar engineer, he has always kept the car in good order, using it in fine weather only and treating it to a bare metal repaint about 20 years ago (documented on photos in the file) with additional paintwork rectification more recently.

Said to be in very good order throughout with a particularly well-preserved Navy Blue leather interior, it also comes with a letter from the owner warranting the mileage and three old MOTs. It also retains an original Passport to Service booklet which has never been filled in. Recently serviced and said to drive well, it has an MOT until June 2016 and is ready for a third owner to enjoy right away.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
