The XJ Coupé was arguably the pinnacle of Sir William Lyons' car design. For him, the comfortable coupé was the ideal automobile. With the XJ6 Series 1 he created a car of the year and on this he suggested the coupe. The birth dragged on until the second series. This coupé is not only the pinnacle of Sir William's creations in terms of form, it is even available in one of his favorite colors: sable, sable in English. The whole thing is topped by the first V12 engine produced over many years, a technical masterpiece beyond compare. Today, cars still only have a six- or even four-cylinder engine at best. This coupe was lucky in life and was never badly abused and is therefore in surprisingly pristine condition.
