Auction description:
Car Fest North 'Pride & Joy' Auction
Lot 137
1973 Daimler Sovereign 4.2 Series 1 manual with overdrive
Registration: EFK 808L
Chassis Number: 1U11349DN
Engine Number: 7L673735
Number of cylinders: 6
CC: 4.2
Year of Manufacture: 1973
Sold for (£): Unsold
Bought originally as a company vehicle back in 1973 it stayed with the owner/driver until his retirement in 1976 at which point he then purchased the car from the company as part of his retirement package and it remained in his ownership until he sadly passed away.

The current owner informs us of a six month £5000 'windows out' professional repaint which also included the fitting of a new headlining.
Other recent work included new springs and shocks, a complete new set of Avon tyres and sympathetic renovation of the leather interior. Also present is a MOT test certificate, and as you would expect, numerous handbooks, service voucher books, and a large history file, along with a vehicle heritage certificate.

This really is a very special car that deserves to be cherished for years to come.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
