Ebay item 9/12/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-Jaguar-XJ6-chevy-350-/261096853716
Opening bid $2,500 reserve not met, no bids 6 days left in auction. Norwalk, California
Sellers description:
I've owned this car since 2001. Title is California, free and clear (non-operational registration). No hidden fees or back taxes. The car has been driven daily for years.
If you want a XJ Jag believe you me you don't want the Jag engine.. I had a Chevy conversion done by Terry Hahn of Fresno, . The conversion work is pro and complete (Chevy engine conversions are standard procedures for Jags). This is a Series 1 1970, the first batch of XJ6's. Later series (II & III) had progressively smaller front grills.. I think it's one of the best-looking cars ever. The engine is a hi-performance Chevy 350 4 bolt main with a Edelbrock carburator. It has chrome header , 350 rebuilt trans B&M shift kit Camel hump heads, Edelbrock cam 300 horses. it has about 12,000. miles on this motor. The car has a new battery, new radiator, new water pump, good tires, all the gauges are SW and work, the electric windows work well
I have an other grill, center concel, and extra dash swithches
It needs the driver door panel. I have the old one for a copy.
It runs GREAT and fast. This car gets everyone's eyes going down the street!!
Driving: the motor has a deep rumble like a stock race car. Body is in good shape, that's about it. There is no rust. Tires are good. The electric windows work. It needs new paint . simply put the key in and drive off.

Car returns to ebay 4/12/25
Car has a buy it now price of $2,000 for 6 days, seller goatsound, 100k miles, New Orleans, Louisiana
Seller's description:
This is a 1969 Jaguar XJ with a chevy 350 v8 mated to the original automatic transmission. I drove it for years here in New Orleans. in 2020 I parked it with electrical issues and it sat for a few years! Now the motor won't turn over, the wiring is a mess, and the brakes ( original jag inboards on the rear axel ) are rough. I am moving on to another ratrod project & this one has to go!! If you are feeling brave enough, this thing is a straightforward ratrod project & will bring this amazing car back to life! The exterior is a grey pickup truck bedliner finish, and looks like cinderblock. If you are looking for a parts car for an xj6 build, there is a great '69 black leather interior, lots of original switches & dials, great glass, etc etc. yes, there is a hoodscoop hole cut into the hood, and the "blower" is just an air intake with a mechanical opener attached to a good edelbrock carb setup.
