Car to be at auction 3/24

www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/1969-jaguar-xj6-recc32077-1-nec-0324

Auction description:

Make JAGUAR

Model XJ6

Registration Number CJJ 260H

MOT Expiry Exempt

Chassis Number 1L4028DN

Engine Number 7G66088

Transmission Manual

Body Colour Ascot Fawn

This 1969 Series I was acquired by our enthusiast vendor around three years ago in need of a full recommissioning at the time

Now completely ready to drive and be enjoyed, our vendor finds himself in a position where he has too many cars

The indicated mileage of around 48,000 may well be correct judging by the many invoices in the history file which also contains the original Bill of Sale from Kennings in 1969 and some restoration photographs

Series I cars are now very rare, manual gearbox with overdrive cars particularly so, and this smart Ascot Fawn example seems very sensibly guided

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
