Car at auction 3/23

www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/1972-jaguar-xj6-recc31299-1-nec-0323

Auction description:

Lot Number 135

Make JAGUAR

Model XJ6 Saloon

Registration Number PYB 320L

MOT Expiry Exempt

Chassis Number 1G13179DN

Engine Number 7G22702-H

Transmission Manual

Body Colour Regency Red

This is a rare 2.8-Litre Series I and would make an excellent project. To be sold with 'No Reserve'.

This 2.8-litre Series I XJ6 was originally supplied by Somerset Motors on 02/02/1973

Fitted with a manual gearbox and overdrive, it's finished in Regency Red with Tan leather

Owned by a father and son, we believe, from new with the last change of keeper in 1998

Forming part of a private collection and only available due to a bereavement

Supplied with a small history file and a Jaguar Heritage Certificate

There are only a few dozen 2.8-litre Series I cars left - even fewer with a manual box

Has been off the road for a few years but generally appears to be a worthwhile project

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
