Car sold at auction 4/09
www.classicauctions.co.uk/lotdetail.php

Auction description:
Lot : 29
1972 Jaguar XJ6 2.8 Litre
Estimate: SOLD for £800
Registration No: NYE121L
Chassis No: 1G12383BW
Engine No: 7G21372H
CC:2800
Colour: Green
Trim Colour: Green
MOT: March 2010

Finished in green with green leather upholstery, this particular example is described by the vendor as being in "good" condition with regard to its engine, automatic transmission, electrical equipment, bodywork and paintwork (while, he rates the interior trim as "average"). Said to have had just two keepers from new the first of who kept it until 2008, `NYE 121L' is further understood to "drive very nicely". Riding on correct type steel wheels but still road registered as a `PLG' rather than `Historic' vehicle (a comparatively simple yet rewarding matter to sort out with the DVLA), this elegant Series I XJ6 is offered for sale with MOT certificate valid until March 2010.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
